About the Course
Alpine rock climbing can be quite a bit different than climbing at the local crags. In the alpine, we have a lot of variety of terrain and a lot of variability in rock quality. Because of this, we try to utilize different techniques to not only move more efficiently but also to minimize risks we find on alpine rock routes.
In this course, we will cover anchoring, belaying, rope management, and terrain use for alpine rock climbing. This can take place as a 1 day front country day or as multiple days with some objectives thrown in to see how these techniques can be used while in the terrain.
