About the Course

Mount Stuart is the second highest non-volcanic peak in Washington, second only to Bonanza. It can be seen while traveling on I-90 between the towns of Ellensburg and Cle Elum.


Mount Stuart along with surrounding peaks is home to amazing quality climbing. It also hosts another of the 50 Classic Climbs, the North Ridge. The North Ridge of Mount Stuart is an amazing climb the has quality pitches of climbing up to 5.9 along with fun, exposed scrambling and low 5th class climbing.


Another common climbing route is the West Ridge. This route consists primarily of scrambling with a 5.6 crux near the top. This route overlooks the Ingalls Peak with fantastic views to the south.
