About the Course
Mount Adams is the second highest peak in Washington. Like all of the other highest peaks, it is an active volcano that tops out just under 12,300'. Mt Adams is also one of the few high peaks that can be skied from the summit without skiing onto an active glacier. The south side of the mountain hosts the South Spur and the Southwest Chutes as the primary ski lines on the mountain.
This is a two day trip to allow for an early start for the summit. With the right timing, you will be rewarded with 7000' of fun skiing.
You should be able to hike or skin at a pace of 1000' an hour for multiple hours. You should also be comfortable skiing 40 degree slopes.
